UTV, who have earned huge profits with the Tamil film, would rather take the remake further with two big stars in the lead roles. And since Shah Rukh and Imran have shied away from remakes of South Indian films, the production house feels that the novelty factor of their pairing will add to the edge of the remake,” added the source.
In the original, Madhavan and Arya play brothers - one who is peace loving and an overall good person and the other a ruffian.
Wethinks casting Shahrukh and Imran would surely be the novelty factor. But will Imran be able to pull off a ruffian’s character? Considering the Delhi Belly actor has seen little or no success in the non-romantic films (Kidnap and Luck), we wonder if it’s the right decision to cast him in the said role. Also,SRK haven't been casted in pure cop role yet in any movie.
But Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV was noncommittal about the pairing and simply said, “Nothing has been finalised yet. It’s too early to talk about the details. But we’re definitely considering remaking our Tamil production Vettai in Hindi, since it’s a huge success down south.”

Q1 . What is the Diffrence between Nett collection & Gross collection of a Movie?
Ans-: Here is a difference between Gross and Nett.
Gross Collection = Total Ticket Sales Collection
Nett collection = (Total Ticket Sales Collection) - (Entertainment tax which is normally between 20% to 30% varies country by country. In India it is 25%).
In Simple Words , Gross Collections is the total Money Which Comes From Ticket Sales. On Which Entertainment Taxes are Deducted and We Arrive to net Collections Which are Further Shared Between Exhibitors and Distributors On Some Rules. The Distributor Share is Generally 50-60% of the Net Collections. The rest of the Moeny is Recovered from Satelite and Music Deals, Advertisements, Sponsorships, etc.
Q2.If is Spend Rs. 100 in India and Overseas on a Ticket, How much goes to the Producer in Each Case?
Ans -: Aprroximately 70 Rupees Contributes to net collection of which 90% goes to the Distributor in India. And if the Distributor and Producer are same which is true in most cases than the complete money is kept with the same company.
But, the Distributors are different in Overseas so a comparitively lower share of money is kept with the producers. As the films are handed to different Distribution Companies in overseas.

Having the backing of a major studio or a well known director or star can greatly improve the chances of securing a good distribution deal. Independent filmmakers often use film festivals as an opportunity to get the attention of distributors. Once a distributor is interested in a film, the two parties arrive at a distribution agreement based on one of two financial models:
In the leasing model, the distributor agrees to pay a fixed amount for the rights to distribute the film. If the distributor and the studio have a profit-sharing relationship, on the other hand, the distributor gets a percentage(typically anywhere from 10 to 50 percent) of the net profits made from the movie. Both models can be good or bad, depending on how well a movie does at the box office. The goal of both the studio and the distribution company is to predict which model will benefit them the most.
Most of the major studios have their own distribution companies. For example, Yash Raj Studios owns Yash Raj Films. The obvious advantages of this are that it is very simple to set up a distribution deal and the parent company doesn’t have to share the profits with another company. The big problem is when an expensive movie is a flop — there’s no one else to share the costs. That’s the main reason several studios have partnered on major movies in recent years. For example, “Ra,one” is produced entirely by Red Chillies but distributed by Eros Entertainement Along With Red Chillies.
Q4 . How do we Know a Film is an All Time BlockBuster, BlockBuster, Super Hit or Hit ?
Ans -: There is no hard and fast rule, but this is what we follow.
>. All Time BlockBuster – To Become an All Time Blockbuster a movie should put up record breaking collections and recover its budget by good margin. The Film Should Also Run Healthily till 3-4 Weeks Atleast at the theatres. And it is necessary that it takes place in top 2-3 grossers of all time.
>. Blockbuster – A Film is Called Blockbuster if it puts Collections 3-4 times its Budget or Performs well despite a small release. Also, Films which create Opening records but do not fit for ATBB are blockbusters.
>. Hit or Super Hit – Any Films which recovers its Budget Healthily is called a hit or super hit. These Film do not qualify for blokcbusters because they perform under potential, because the kind of release they were offered, they could have done better.
Q5 . Why do Hollywood Movies Cost more than Bollywood ?
Ans -:Hollywood Producers Invest More into technology, equipments, costlier sets(extremely costly), etc. Their Staff are Well Qualified and Highly Paid as well. They Can do all this because they are sure of returns. If Indian MoviesGross that Much, i am sure Indian Producers will start investing more money into making of films.

Sudhir mishra is known for issue based movie but surprisingly announcied "an out-and-out action film" for which he is collaborating with Anubhav Sinha of "RA.One" fame.He is now busy for his upcoming movie "Mehrunissa"
A source said: "The script (of Mishra's actioner) is a kickass combination of cerebral and physical action, a kind of 'Bourne Identity' meeets Jackie Chaan. It will have a huge star cast and some of the most elaborate action scenes seen on this side of the Hong Kong Kung Fu films."

Shahrukh to give tribute To 2 legend actors Of Bollywood
Apparently Shah Rukh Khan will pay tribute to legendary actors Shammi Kapoor and Dev Anand at the colour screen's award function.
SRK will try to reprise the trademark dancing style of Shammi Kapoor and the old world charm of evergreen actor Dev Anand on the stage of Colors Screen Awards which wiil be held on January 14.
Both of the legends died last year.

Did Neelam spread rumours about SRK and Priyanka Affair ?
Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra have always been good friends. They hang out together and have good fun, but as people always say 'ek ladka aur ek ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte,' the philosophy is being put to use by most of our industry people and they end up spreading rumours about the actors.
The source adds, "Priyanka discussed this with her friends and they told this to Neelam. When Neelam called Priyanka to clear the air she was in no mood for the same."
To a newspaper Neelam quoted, "It's not true. I share a very cordial relationship with Priyanka. I would never speak about my friend's husband like this."

Shahrukh Wants to make Bollywood’s first truly global blockbuster !!!!!
Shah Rukh Khan shuts his eyes and imagines the moment of his own death. “My grandmother used to say that every time a flashbulb goes off in your face you lose three seconds of your life. Sometimes I think one day someone will just say: ‘Roll Camera, Action’ and I will drop dead, because all of my soul has been sucked out. That would be the best way to go.
“We have 1.2 billion people (in India) for God’s sake,” he says. “There is no threat. This question would never have been asked 15 years ago. The fact that it is being asked is a huge comment on how successful Bollywood has become. In terms of eyeballs, we are hugely visible. And we are very deeply rooted in the way we tell our stories. We are secretly very proud of the way we make our movies.”
If he has little interest in acting in Hollywood films, he does acknowledge a desire to collaborate with the big American studios to work on Indian films, something that is becoming a necessity as Bollywood productions become ever more lavish and expensive.
About his ultimate goal he says, is to make the mother of all Indian movies, an Avatar-style spectacular based on the Mahabharata, which he claims could be Bollywood’s first truly global blockbuster. That would cost much more, he says, probably only slightly less than the $450 million (approx. Rs 2,250 crore) spent on Avatar.
“I think it would be fantastic, the world’s greatest film,” he says. “It would be Mahabharata made like Lord of the Rings — a trilogy. The world would come to see it. The inherent story is one of the most interesting in the world. There are amazing superheroes, 20 times better than X-men — gods of the sun and wind who can make fire and gales at will. There are monsters, ghosts. It’s really awesome.”
Khan seems genuinely excited about the Mahabharata project, about which he has already held talks with Hollywood studios including 20th Century Fox and Warner Brothers.

Before the start of Shoot Srk called up Katrina and asked whether she is really comfortable working with me or not,because she is close to Salman Khan and srk doesn't want any more fights with sallu regarding any situations. She replied i have no hassles working with him before the shoot could begin. Sources Revealed.
Earlier Shahrukh khan had faced the problem of interruption During the starting shoot of Aziz Mirza's movie Chalte Chalte has been called off because Salman Khan was coming on sets and talking with his Ex Gf Aishwariya making some chous on sets made Srk replaced Aishwariya with Rani Mukerji in the lead.
“Shah Rukh wanted no problems on the sets. Yashji is over 75-years-old. He is directing a film after a long time. Only when Katrina assured Shah Rukh that there was no question of any intrusion did he agree to start the shoot,” informed the source. And now, the first schedule for the Shah Rukh-Katrina film begins next week.

Ajay Devgn to clash with SRK..........
Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan have never been the best of friends. Neither one of them has spoken about their rivalry openly. But now, they have come in an open ground to fight, the ground is our very own Box Office. Devgn and Khan have decided to release their films on the same date, which is also the auspicious day of Diwali.
As per our sources, "Ajay is extremely confident about Son Of Sardar. This film is from his home production and was to release on November 30. However, once Don 2 released during Christmas, Ajay decided to release his project during Diwali with SRK's film."
After the success of Singham, Ajay has been named as the Lion King of Bollywood. And now, it will be very interesting to see the competition between the Lion King and the King Khan.
It's time to wait and watch which King will rule the territory of Box office this Diwali.
